Starting Your Own Home Based Business

I was driving down the road the other day and I saw a sight that I would have though impossible only a few short years ago...gas...regular octane...$3.71 per gallon. I'd like to say I couldn't believe it, but the last few months have taught me that those numbers were not only coming, but that they will be getting worse.
It seems we can't catch a break. In the last few years we've had to deal with real estate so expensive it takes our life savings to buy a 500 square foot apartment. If it wasn't that, insurance went through the roof thanks to the hurricanes that were so kind as to visit us. And after we survive all that, gas is approaching $4 per gallon.
Are you feeling the pain from all this yet? Have you come to realize that you MUST find a way to generate additional income?
So you've decided to partner with a solid company and start a home based internet business. What is this going to mean?
It means tons of money in your first month with little to no effort, right? Don't count on it. In fact, if you really think that is what will happen when you start to run a business on the internet, perhaps you should just find a part-time job.
Marketing on the internet, if you've never done it before, will require education and time for it to work. Because of this, you should first be prepared for criticism from those around you. When you tell your friends and family what you are doing (which you should), some will probably make some discouraging statements. Don't worry about it, keep pressing on. ALL wealthy business owners endured the same criticism when they started. Who's laughing now?
As you keep pressing forward, you will probably find that some things don't simply "happen" like you thought they would. I remember when I joined my first company. The product was so good, I was sure that EVERYONE who looked at it would buy. Well, that didn't quite happen. That won't happen for you either. Be prepared to get more no's than yes's. Also, the more no's you receive, the more you will hear, "yes."
As you progress, you will find that internet marketing is free, lasts what seems like forever, but can be slow to develop. Every time you post an ad, write an article, or upload a video, your internet presence gets bigger. Nevertheless, in the beginning it may feel like you are just spinning your wheels. Remember, it takes time for people who opt-in to your website to reach a point where they are ready to go into business with you. Keep pressing forward. Before you know it, people will be calling you on a regular basis wanting to be in business with you.
Finally, when you get past your early growing pains, you will find yourself in a place where you will be able to get new customers and partners without too much difficulty. However, most of the people you bring in will not. Here is a sad truth about people in general; most people will die broke because they lack the motivation to get up off the couch.
I promise you, it WILL happen. You will enroll people into the business. You'll be excited for them and their future. And then you'll find they never open their supplies, show up for training, or even talk to a single person. WHEN this happens, move on, it's not your fault. As the saying goes, you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink.
Now that you know what to expect, how important is your future? Will you press forward with your internet business? If you do, the numbers don't lie. The law of averages DEMANDS that all your no's gets you to a "yes." Your yes's get you to some quality people who will build a business just like you. And, of course, the combination of these two brings you wealth beyond anything you can possibly imagine today.
